Fire Guts Wall Street Garage

A Sunday morning fire at 19 Wall Street gutted the upstairs level of a garage. The fire got a big head start before the call came. When the Hoosick Falls Fire Department arrived, the smoke was pouring out of all openings and fire was shooting sideways out a window at the rear of the structure. Berlin Boys Fall To Cambridge But Head Into Sectional Play Optimistic

The Mountaineers closed out the regular season with an 80 to 59 loss to the Cambridge Indians, stepping up in class as a tune up to this week’s Section 2 Class D competition.  Roark Slattery again led from the way with 27 points and six rebounds.  Slattery also dropped in six from three-point land.  Senior Ryan Shumway added 12 points while Ryan Gosse contributed another 11 points.   The Mountaineers held their own on the defensive boards, but only four offensive rebounds hampered their scoring efforts.
