The 13-1 HFCS varsity girls sealed the deal for their second consecutive Wasaren League crown last Friday when they defeated Tamarac on their home court. By not losing a game since a one point loss to Hoosic Valley on January 15, the Ladies cemented their hold on first place. Had the Panthers lost any game they would have tied Hoosic Valley. Hoosic Valley was lurking, one game back, just waiting for the Panthers to make a slip that never happened. [private]The Grafton Town Board announced at its meeting on Monday February 8, that Assessor David Galarneau plans to start a full value reassessment of the Town after the 2016 Tax rolls become final on July 1. In a letter to the Board, Galarneau outlined the steps he plans to take to accomplish the reassessment, which would bring properties in Grafton up to full value. The Town has been working with the NY State Department of Health (DOH) to get private wells tested for PFOA. Results from the samples taken in November are in and are available on both the Town and Village websites.
