Eastwick Press Will Continue Under New Leadership
The Eastwick Press will resume publication after its traditional July 4th break, after a brief period of reorganization.
Doug La Rocque of Grafton is in the process of buying the Eastwick Press. He will be reorganizing the paper based on a new business plan, with support from many members of the community who responded to his plea in the last issue put out by Publisher Alex Brooks.
La Rocque’s plan is to make the paper a profitable, sustainable enterprise, through a determined effort to increase revenues by broadening the base of support and improving the newspaper’s advertising sales effort.
Current Editor and Publisher Alex Brooks will remain involved in the newspaper. He said, “I am glad that Doug has found a way to sustain and grow the paper. I think it has the potential to become a prosperous and sustainable enterprise. Doug shares that vision, and I think his business plan lays out a practical and realistic path to get us there. With this reorganization, I expect the paper to be around for many years to come.”
The first issue to be published under the new leadership will be the July 14 issue.
