Hunter Education Course In Berlin

A hunter education class sponsored by the Rensselaer County Sportsman Education Program will be offered at the Berlin Rod and Gun Club on Plank Road in Berlin on Monday, April 30, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, Friday, May 4, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday, May 5, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. All three sessions must be attended and students must demonstrate proper attitude and safety and pass the test. This course is free, but you must pre-register by calling Rob at 518-573-4261.

Hoosick Falls History Books In Stock

The Louis Miller Museum has purchased an additional 50 books, The Community of Hoosick Falls – Circa 1950,written by Barbara Burke Simoneau.  To date, we have sold three hundred books.  We are receiving orders for the book, and we now have them on hand.  They can be purchased at the Museum, Thorpe’s Pharmacy and the Parisi Designs (former Upsy Daisy). If you missed out on this great book about Hoosick Falls in the early fifties, purchase a copy today.

Music And Art Cafe At PVMCC

On Friday, April 20, the Music and Art Cafe will feature Karen Webster and Friends from 7 to 9 pm at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center. This month, Webster will play piano and be accompanied by Leslie Green on the oboe, Martha von Schilgen on the fiddle and Dan Lamontagne on percussion. Don’t miss this eclectic blend of original, classical and Celtic music. Admission is $5 per person, $8 per couple, and children under 18 are admitted free.

Sand Lake Historical Society Annual Meeting
