Roger LeMere, who has done the scheduling for the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center for many years, has recently had a serious cardiac event. It will take the whole board to fill to job he has been doing.

The Hoosick Falls Soccer Club Buy A Brick Program
The Hoosick Falls Soccer Club is proud to announce the Memorial Garden, Buy A Brick Program! The Hoosick Falls Soccer Club is in the process of gathering ideas for a “Yellow Brick Road” that will be placed by the Hos-Cot Pavilion on South Street in Hoosick and lead to the flagpole and the Decatur Memorial Bench near the Delurey Championship Field. Rare Corpse Flowers At Darrow School
Unseasonably warm temperatures across the Northeast have spurred many flowering plants – from Washington D.C.’s renowned cherry blossoms to the forsythia in Central Park – to blossom early this year. Darrow School’s famous corpse flowers are no exception, and are flowering now.

Krista Kitowicz Receives MIT Excellence Award
Krista Lance Kitowicz recently received the 2012 MIT Excellence Award, one of the highest honors presented to MIT staff in recognition of their work. Stephentown Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Please join the Stephentown Youth Commission on Saturday, April 7, at 12:30 pm at the Stephentown Firemen’s Pavilion on Grange Hall Road for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Grades pre-k through fifth are invited to hunt. This event will be held entirely outdoors so please dress appropriately. Don’t forget your Easter basket to collect your treats.
The Easter Bunny will be hopping around. Adult supervision is required.
In the event of rain or snow, this event will be canceled.
Rediscover Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
In recognition of National Poetry Month, local resident and Longfellow scholar Bruce Southard will deliver the lecture “Rediscover Longfellow” on Thursday, April 5, at 7 pm at the New Lebanon Library. This program is free and the public is welcome.

Berlin Fire Department Breakfast
On Sunday, April 1, from 7 to 11 am, the Berlin Fire Department will be holding its monthly breakfast which includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast and biscuits for our homemade sausage gravy, sausage and bacon, toast, home fries and eggs (scrambled, sunny side, over easy or over hard). Beverage choices include coffee, tea, (both decaf available), hot chocolate, milk and orange juice. Prices are $7 for adults, $4 for kids 5-10 and free for kids under 5.
The Ladies Auxiliary will be having an Easter Bake Sale with goodies and treats from 7 to 11 am at the Fireman’s Breakfast.
Hoosick Cemetery 2012 Spring Clean-up
Notice is hereby given by order of the Trustees of the Hoosick Cemetery Association that seasonal and unsightly decorations should be removed from all lots on or before April 7. Please take all refuse with you. Do not dump debris over the fence or leave it on Cemetery grounds.
