She had resided at the Hoosick Falls Health Center in Hoosick Falls, NY, and formerly in Troy, NY, Venice, FL, and Ossining, NY. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Heil.

Leo Thomas Bruns Sr.

Grafton – Leo Thomas Bruns Sr., 76, formerly of Grafton, NY, and most recently of Troy, NY, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2011, after a brief illness.
Born in Johnsonville, NY, on May 10, 1935, Leo was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Pemrick) Bruns. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Leo was employed by the former General Electric Plant in Waterford, NY, for thirty years. During this time, he was warehouse supervisor and a shop steward for the IUE Local 359, Buildings 42 and 43.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Academy through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090. John passed away on August 25 and was the husband of Jeanne (Murphy) Capano of Hoosick Falls.

Ernest E. Niles Sr.

White Creek – Ernest E. Niles Sr., 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. He had resided on County Rt. 68 in White Creek, NY.
Born on February 27, 1939, in Kingsbury, NY, Ernest was the son of the late Harold W. and Carrie (Olden) Niles Sr. He attended schools in the Kingsbury area. Ernest worked for the Construction Union in Troy, NY, retiring after twenty years. He then worked for the Town of Jackson Highway Department and later the White Creek Highway Department until retiring from there. Ernest enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking and traveling.
