Born June 14, 1938, in Petersburgh, he was the son of the late Donald S. and Lydia Quackenbush Hewitt. A lifelong resident of Petersburgh, Don graduated from Hoosick Falls High School and was a member of the Petersburgh Baptist Church. North Hoosick – George Wilson, 86, of North Hoosick, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 11, 2011, at his residence with his family by his side. Born on February 22, 1924, in Schaghticoke, NY, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Bryant) Wilson. George served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. While serving in the 2nd Battalion, 515th Parachute Infantry Regiment, George achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received several medals and ribbons while participating in the American Theater and European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaigns.

Born in the Town of Saratoga on December 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mamie Gifford Johnson. She was the loving wife of the late Charles G. Born on November 10, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, Walter was the son of the late Walter F. and Dorothy (Brassell) Doyle. He was educated at schools in New York City. He worked for the McCann Erickson Advertising Company in New York until retirement.
Funeral services were private at the request of the family. Arrangements were under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, in Hoosick Falls.
