Thanksgiving Plants From The Berlin Library
The Plant of the Month has returned. The Friends of the Berlin Library are offering mums and cyclamens just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Bring some color into your home or pick some up as gifts. Each 4” pot is reasonably priced at $5. The mums will be in fall colors. The cyclamens are in pink, red, or white. Get your order form now at the Library. All orders must be prepaid by November 10. Pick up is at the Library starting November 18.
For December, we will have Poinsettias, Christmas Cactus, and Norfolk Pines. Thank you for supporting the Berlin Library.
Third Annual Craft Show At The Berlin Library
Get your holiday shopping done early this year. Come browse and buy at the Berlin Library on Saturday, November 14, from noon until 3. There will be wooden stacking toys, knitted goods, hand-dyed yarn, Barb’s Country Store-ful of goodies, pens, cards and more. Support local artisans and find something for everyone on your gift list. Also available are holiday plants – on sale by the Friends of the Library, for the benefit of the Berlin Library. Refreshments will be served.
Thanksgiving Pies
Order your Thanksgiving pies now. The Berlin Volunteer Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary will be happy to bake apple and/or pumpkin pies for your holiday celebration. Place your orders by calling 658-2294 or 658-2163 no later than Tuesday, November 17, and we’ll have your freshly baked pies ready for pickup at the firehouse on Wednesday, November 25, from 4 to 6 pm. All pies cost $10.

Johnsonville – Deborah Jean Pettibone, 50, died unexpectedly at home on October 27, 2009. Born in Troy, NY, and growing up in Cohoes, NY, she was the daughter of the late Patricia Ladue, who passed away this past January. Deborah had resided in Johnsonville, NY, for the last six years and before that had lived in Berlin, NY, for 15 years.
