Berlin Fire Department Breakfast
On October 4 the Berlin Fire Department will again be starting its monthly breakfasts. This is an all-you-can-eat event that starts at 7 am and runs through 11 am. Food choices include eggs, toast, sausage, home fries and pancakes. For beverage we serve coffee (decaf or high test), tea, hot chocolate and orange juice.
We would love to help you start your morning off right with a delicious breakfast served to you by your dedicated volunteers. Hope to see you there.

Boy Scout Recruitment Night
Local Boy Scout Troop #222 announces recruitment night on September 28, at the PVMCC in Petersburgh from 6:30 to 8 pm. Boys from the Petersburgh, Berlin, Grafton, Stephentown and Hoosick Falls areas who are ages 11 through 17 are encouraged to attend with their parent/guardian to learn more about the adventures of scouting. Upcoming scout events include the Adirondack Extreme trip, campouts and the annual Haunted House on October 17 from 7 to 10 pm.

Berlin: A Look Back; A Foundation For Planning Ahead
The Comprehensive Planning Committee of Berlin is planning a program on Wednesday, September 16, 7 pm, at the Berlin Jr/Sr High School as part of the Committee’s planning for the future. Town Historian Sharon Klein will narrate a program with historical slides of Berlin. If you have never been to one of Klein’s programs you are in for a treat as she takes us back to Berlin of yesteryear.
Survey results will be available (they are also available online on the Berlin Library’s website www.bftl.org), as well as information on upcoming focus groups for public input. Be sure to mark your calendars for this upcoming event.
