Local Eagle Scouts Honored By Rensselaer County

Boy Scout Troop 222 Eagle Scouts Trevor Hall and Michael Zlotnick were honored this past week by Rensselaer County Executive Kathy Jimino, Legislative Chairman Stan Brownell and the full legislature.  Both scouts recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, which requires each youth to complete a project that benefits his community.  [Read more…] about Local Eagle Scouts Honored By Rensselaer County

Clark Art Institute Puppet-Making Class For Teens

Master puppeteer David Lane brings his expertise to the Clark Art Institute Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22 from 9 am to 12 pm with a spring break workshop for children ages 10 to 15.

Berlin’s Water District May Be The Beneficiary Of New Legislation Be Pushed By Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin

Hall And Zlotnick Become Eagle Scouts

Troop 222 has announced that two of its scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. On April 9 at 3 pm at the Berlin High School, the troop will celebrate a double Eagle Court of Honor for Trevar Hall and Michael Zlotnick.
Trevar Hall completed his Eagle project for the Town of Petersburgh by building a lighted Town sign.  Michael Zlotnick completed his Eagle project for the Cherryplain State Park by building a new walking trail along the north side of the lake. NYS Maple Producers Association Sponsors Free Educational Event

NYS Maple Producers Association is a not-for-profit comprised of the folks who make maple syrup in New York State.  The Association is welcoming everyone to visit member Sugar Houses on “Maple Weekend” April 2 and 3 to learn about the process of making maple syrup.  Kent’s Sugar House will be the Rensselaer County host.
