Berlin InvenTeam Completes Mid-Grant Technical Review

A team of young inventors from Berlin High School is the recipient of a grant from the Lemelson-MIT Program. On October 14, Lemelson-MIT announced Berlin was one of only fourteen schools nationwide that would receive up to $10,000 each in grant funding as part of its 2015–2016 InvenTeam™ initiative to inspire young people to solve real-world problems through invention. Two More Speeding Mishaps On Bly Hollow Road

Last November the Berlin Town Board petitioned the NYS Department of Transportation for a speed reduction on Bly Hollow Road. At the time the Town cited many drivers traveling at excessive speeds, resulting in numerous accidents over the past few years, two of which were fatal. At the February 11 meeting, resident Doug Goodermote reported there were at least two more incidents of vehicles leaving the road as the result of high rates of speed. No injuries were reported.
