Berlin Boys Soccer Finish In A Tie For CHVL Crown

Speeding On Bly Hollow Road An Ongoing Problem

Residents of Bly Hollow Road spoke to the Berlin town board with some urgency about the need to reduce the speed limit there from 40 to 30 miles per hour. Doug Goodermote, (speaking as a private citizen and not as Dog Control Officer) said the driver of a milk tanker parked in front of his barn recently was nearly struck by a speeding vehicle as it passed. Farm To Canvas Event Features Unique Art Lottery

On Saturday, October 24 Brown’s Brewing and CiviCure are excited to present Farm to Canvas, an event combining the profound pleasure of collecting art with the excitement of a lottery where every ticket holder is a winner. The goal of Farm to Canvas is to grow the audience for original artwork while supporting the restoration of Hoosick Falls’ Wood Block Opera House. Since 1880, Wood Block has housed two extraordinary exhibition and performance spaces. Public Archaeology & Volunteering Day At Bennington Battlefield

On Saturday, October 24 a Public Archaeology Day will be held at the Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site in Walloomsac, NY off Route 67. The event is open to the general public and free of charge. Consultants with Commonwealth Cultural Resources Group, Inc. and NYS Parks employees will be on hand to share the history of the battle, provide demonstrations of both metal detecting and ground penetrating radar equipment as well as to discuss the future of the site. Rensselaer Land Trust Opens Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve In Nassau

Over 100 people attended the Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve evergreen garland cutting ceremony including Mike Moore from the Governors Office, David Fleming, Jr. Supervisor for the Town of Nassau, and Mitch Levinn Mayor for the Village of East Nassau.  The 73 acre nature preserve was created from land donations from four neighbors:  David and Lucy Gaskell, Bob and Jennifer Newton, the late Kenneth York, and the Edward W.
