Supervisor Jaeger is accepting the budget proposals from his department heads. He said he will include raises requested by department heads in his tentative budget, which will be completed soon, but he was not optimistic that the Town could give raises this year. The Berlin Planning Board Lot Line Adjustment Approved, Subdivision Proposed
The Berlin Planning Board opened its meeting this past week by accepting an application for a five acre subdivision on a private road off Dyken Pond Road. Eden Brand presented the Board with her survey and short environmental quality review (SEQR) form, asking she be allowed to subdivide five acres of land off a 45 acre parcel currently owned by her father Charles Brand. Electronics Recycling Event October 3
The Rensselaer County Legislature and the County Environmental Management Council are teaming up to sponsor an electronics recycling day, Chair of the Legislature Stan Brownell announced.
The electronics recycling event will be held Saturday, October 3 from 9:30 am to 2 pm. The recycling event will be held at the County Office Building, 1600 7th Avenue, downtown Troy.

Berlin Modified Girls Volleyball Wins At Home
On Monday the modified girls volleyball team got their first win of the season against Waterford. Strong serving by Brooke Deshane, Skylar Jordan, Sierra Pettibone and Carly Church led the team to its victory. Solid play by the rest of the team kept Berlin dominant throughout each game. The girls play home next Tuesday against New Lebanon and Friday against Hawthorne; games begin at 4 pm.
