Town Of Berlin Still Seeking To Resolve 

Road Inventory Dispute With NYS DOT

The Berlin Town Board opened its meeting this past week with the unanimous approval of the minutes of its previous gathering, and accepted the Town Clerk’s report, that included a summation of revenues received of $6,870.50 in local monies along with $2,503.28 in non-local funds for a total of $9,373.78.  Water District 2 Commissioner Jim Wynn said he had to change a shut off valve on a bank owned piece of property in the district, but also heard the building may be donated.  That is all he knows about the subject at this time. Restoration Of Remarkable Headstone Of Dr. Philander H. Thomas, Born In Stephentown And Former Sandlake Supervisor, Offers A Window Into Local History

On August 8 Joe Ferrannini of Hoosick Falls-based Grave Stone Matters repaired the headstones  in the “Old” Mount Ida Cemetery of several people of historical significance who had ties to eastern Renssaelear County, including Dr. Jeffery W. Thomas and Dr. Philander H. Thomas of West Sand Lake, and his wife, Laura Hull Thomas. Her grandfather was Lt. Berlin Schools Fall Festival Is October 3

The Berlin Middle/Senior High School is hosting a Fall Festival on October 3 from 11 am to 3 pm.  Games, Food, Vendors, Haunted House, Pumpkin and Mum sales will be topped off with a Magic Show in the evening. All members of the community are invited to share in this fun filled day.
