New Business Growing In Hoosick Falls

Little Sprouts Baby Bump and Beyond, a children’s boutique offering pre-loved clothing, toys, furniture, baby gear, books, and more, opened on Saturday, August 1. The owner is Renee Parker (née Koronas), a graduate of Hoosick Falls High School (Class of ’02) and the mother of two children, aged four and eight and a half months. Ballet Students Pass Examinations

There are eleven grades in ballet in the French method. Each grade is marked out of 100 marks. Students have to earn 65 marks to pass, 75 for commendation, and 85 marks or higher for honors. Students really have to work hard to pass these exams. [Read more…] about Ballet Students Pass Examinations

The Battenkill Chorale is accepting experienced choral singers for their twenty-first season, which opens with a program connected to the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’ impassioned plea for peace, Dona Nobis Pacem, January 17 at Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall at Zankel Music Center, Skidmore College. Soloists Sylvia Stoner (Artist-in-Residence at Skidmore) and Keith Kibler will join the 100-voice chorus and 45-piece professional orchestra in this poignant work.
