Grafton Deputy Town Supervisor Cathy Goyer called the State Police on Thursday, May 31, after a series of incidents involving the Town computers. There has been no physical break-in, but things have been added and subtracted from several different Town computers over a period of months, and most recently a set of computer discs was taken. Grafton Lakes State Park Hosts Nationals Trails Day

On National Trails Day on Saturday, June 2, 75 hardy, enthusiastic people showed up despite the rainy, cold weather. Grafton’s Dickinson Hill Fire Tower Is Being Restored

The Dickinson Hill Fire Tower in Grafton is being restored by the Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park, and they are doing a wonderful job. The Fire Tower is almost 100 years old. So far the stair boards, cab flooring, stair raisers, window bars and the X braces on the tower have been replaced by Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park and Dave Vana LLC Fire Tower Restoration. Batik Workshop In Grafton
The Grafton Community Library will present an introductory Batik Workshop as part of the Grafton Community Arts Program that has been awarded grant funding from The Arts Center of the Capital Region. Class will be on Thursday, June 14, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Everett Wagar Senior Center, located at 2 Roxborough Road on the corner of NY Route 2 in center Grafton. Summer Theater Program In Cropseyville
The Highlight Acting Troupe will be holding a two week Summer Theater Program for children between the ages of 6 and 16. The program will begin on July 9 and end on July 20 and will be held at the Brittonkill District Auditorium, Rt. 2 in Cropseyville. The program runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm daily. Grafton Planning Board Meeting – Quorum Call

The Grafton Planning Board meeting on Monday, May 21, began 14 minutes late while Planning Board Chairman Tom Withcuskey rounded up a quorum. Luckily, there were no public hearings and no new business on the agenda. During the meeting, two items of old business were voted on and approved. One was the Boyce subdivision on South Long Pond Road and the other was the Halloran-Andriano subdivision on Clickner Road. The approval of Richard Lundy’s riding stable on Kautz Hollow Road was postponed for a month.

Remembering A Navy Man’s Story From Wood Park During Memorial Weekend

One of the many local veterans on the Memorial Wall at Wood Park in the Village of Hoosick Falls, is the late Joseph Manoogian, Jr. Manoogian was an Armenian-American born in Troy in 1933 who enjoyed being a swimming instructor and showing off his expertise in swimming and diving.
