On Sunday, May 6, the Brunswick Grange will hold its annual Spring Agricultural Tailgate Sale at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, Rt. 67 & 40, Schaghticoke, from 8 am to 12:30 pm. More than 50 vendors will offer varieties of ducks, chickens, geese, pigeons, plants, flowers and other agricultural items. $15 per vendor. To be held rain or shine, refreshments available. Grafton Library Seeks Plant Donations
On Saturday, May 19, from 8 am to 1 pm, the Grafton Community Library will have a plant sale to benefit the Lillis Bunce Memorial Award. The Library will gladly welcome donations of plants during the week of May 13. Plants may be dropped off at the rear of the building, located at 2455 NY Route 2. Fire Destroys House In Grafton

At around 2:30 am on Saturday, April 14, a home at 29 Kautz Hollow Road in Grafton was destroyed by fire. Rick Bly and his wife were home at the time and were able to escape unharmed. Grafton Planning Board Action – Do Good Fences Make Good Neighbors?

When the great American poet Robert Frost wrote that “Good fences make good neighbors” he was undoubtedly not thinking of a fence made of salvaged blue garage doors like the fence erected by Rich Lundy on the property line with his neighbor Doug Pratt. Pratt owns the property that abuts the east side of the land on which Lundy hopes to establish a horse stable and trail riding business. He came to the public hearing on the Lundy site plan review that was held before the regular Grafton Planning Board meeting on Monday, April 16, and had his say.
