The first vendor meeting of Our Valley Community Farmers Market (OVCFM) will be held on April 29 at 6:30 pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church on North Main Street, Berlin. Open to all interested vendors, the meeting will include an overview of OVCFM’s handbook and marketing efforts as well as location and layout, the finalization of market hours, a look at “Opening Day” activities and any questions from vendors.

Harnessing The Barberville Falls
Tom Hohman and Chuck Friday will be guest speakers at the Poestenkill Historical Society’s April 26 program on Harnessing the Barberville Falls. Friday has studied the Barberville Falls and will be presenting a program on the history of the falls. Hohman, who lives on Plank Road, has harnessed the power made from the falls with water turbines and uses the power it generates in both his home and sawmill.

Grafton Fire Department And Ladies Auxiliary Buffet Breakfast
The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department along with the Grafton Ladies Auxiliary will be holding an All You Can Eat Buffet Breakfast on Saturday, April 30, from 8 to 11 am at the Grafton VFW – Fire Hall on South Road (County Route 85) .
Belgian waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs (made to order), sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, orange juice, coffee and milk are on the menu.
The cost is $8 per adult, $4 for kids 12 and under and free for kids 5 and under. We look forward to serving you!
Volunteer For Earth Day At Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center
Enjoy the early spring weather and volunteer for Earth Day at the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center on Saturday, April 16, from 9 am until 12 pm. Volunteers are needed to do basic trail work including clearing winter debris and clearing trails for the hiking season. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to work outdoors. All ages are welcome as well as families and organizations. Volunteers can come for the entire morning or for an hour. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
