Grafton – Elsie Marie Goyer, 81, of County Route 85, Grafton, NY, went home to be with our Lord on November 9, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Elsie was the wife of Harold, whom she married 60 years ago on August 5, 1950. She was the only child of Lois and Clinton Wagar who pre-deceased her.

Eastern Rensselaer Co. Election Results By Town

The only contested local election in the Eastwick area was that for a position left vacant on the Stephentown Town Council after Larry Eckhardt was elected last year as Town Supervisor. Bill Jennings (D, WF) defeated John Meekins (R,C) for that seat with 57% of the vote. Also in Stephentown, Wes Edwards running unopposed was elected to another term as Town Justice. Edwards has already served 47 years in that position.

Brunswick Elks Holiday Craft Fair
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Brunswick Elks will be holding their Annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, November 13, from 9 am to 3 pm. Over 30 vendors will have displays. The Lodge is located on Rt. 2 in Brunswick. The Fair is open to the public, and admission is free. The kitchen will be open and Santa will be available for pictures.

Grafton Planning Board Action – October 2010

The Grafton Planning Board session on Monday, October 18, began at 6 pm with Public Hearings on an Ed Chilson/Clear Brook LLC four lot subdivision, a Jennifer Contessa two lot subdivision and a Site Plan Review of a meteorological tower to be installed by Gamesa Energy. The Contessa subdivision on Fox Hollow Road sailed through the public hearing, noting only that a small piece of the property, about half an acre that is in Petersburgh, cannot be subdivided.
