Phase I Of Stonybrook Development Approved

The Grafton Planning Board meeting on Monday, April 20, scheduled for 7 pm, began at 7:10 when Board members, the Town Attorney Sal Ferlazzo, Town Engineer Russ Reeves and Highway Superintendent Herbert Hasbrouck entered the room together.
The only item on the agenda was the Stonybrook Land/Lake at Sylvan Way development.

Grafton Town Board Action – Local Law On Subdivisions Passed

On April 2 a Public Hearing was held on two proposed local laws. The first one dealt with a permit system for traveling over Town roads. The second proposed law enacted penalties for violations of terms and conditions of subdivision approvals. (These proposed laws were incorrectly described in the Grafton Town Board report in the March 27 issue of the Eastwick Press.)

The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department along with the Grafton Ladies Auxiliary will be holding an All You Can Eat Buffet Breakfast on Saturday, April 25, from 8 to 11 am at the Grafton VFW – Fire Hall on South Road (County Route 85). The menu includes Belgian waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs (made to order), bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, orange juice, coffee and milk. The cost is $7 per adult, $4 for kids 12 and under and free for kids 5 and under.
Star Party At Grafton Lakes
The Albany Area Amateur Astronomers will hold a public Star Watch on Saturday, April 25, at the main parking lot of the Grafton Lakes State Park at 8 pm, weather permitting. Please use the winter entrance off North Long Pond Road. Come early to catch a telescopic glimpse of the planet Mercury and the very young crescent moon. On April 9 the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced changes in the 2009-10 operating schedules at a number of parks and historic sites in the Saratoga-Capital Region. The changes reflect a reduction in State spending at parks and historic sites statewide.
