October 27, 2016 By eastwickpress

The Berlin Free Town Library presents Toss the Feathers – Irish Traditional Music and Song – in concert on Saturday, November 5 at 7:30 pm. The band is comprised of members Amy Schoch (fiddle and vocals), Dave Smith (banjo, mandolin and bouzouki and vocals) and Liam O’Neill (uilleann pipes, penny whistle and vocals). Together, they blend their instruments and voices to create a distinct harmonic sound firmly rooted in the Irish tradition. Irish traditional music includes many kinds of songs, including drinking songs, ballads, and laments, sung unaccompanied or with accompaniment by a variety of instruments. Traditional dance music includes reels, jigs, hornpipes and polkas. You won’t want to miss Toss the Feathers as they take us on a musical journey of the Emerald Isle.
Joining us for the event are Deborah Green and Joe Doyle, experts of Irish dance. We invite you to be part of this unique and fun celebration of Irish music and dance.
