Over 100 people attended the Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve evergreen garland cutting ceremony including Mike Moore from the Governors Office, David Fleming, Jr. Supervisor for the Town of Nassau, and Mitch Levinn Mayor for the Village of East Nassau. Electronics Recycling Event October 3
The Rensselaer County Legislature and the County Environmental Management Council are teaming up to sponsor an electronics recycling day, Chair of the Legislature Stan Brownell announced.
The electronics recycling event will be held Saturday, October 3 from 9:30 am to 2 pm. The recycling event will be held at the County Office Building, 1600 7th Avenue, downtown Troy.

Grafton Library Lends Anti-Rent Flag To Albany Institute of History And Art
The Grafton Community Library is pleased to announce that it has lent the historic Anti-Rent Banner to the Albany Institute of History and Art until April 2016. The flag is featured in the exhibition Capital Region 50 Objects, which opened September 18. It portrays a man with a horn, small tomahawk and Indian headdress which were symbols of the Anti-Rent movement.
