Shaker Museum / Mount Lebanon To Hold Peace Weekend

The Shaker Museum|Mount Lebanon will host a weekend of events and programs to commemorate over 200 years of Shaker pacifism, Saturday, August 29 through Monday, August 31. The Mount Lebanon Peace Weekend will consist of readings, a brunch and facilitated discussion about Shaker pacifist history, a panel of speakers currently active in the peace movement, and a special walking tour. Little Sprouts Baby Bump and Beyond, a children’s boutique offering pre-loved clothing, toys, furniture, baby gear, books, and more, opened on Saturday, August 1. The owner is Renee Parker (née Koronas), a graduate of Hoosick Falls High School (Class of ’02) and the mother of two children, aged four and eight and a half months. HFCS Bus Routes To Stay The Same Despite River Street Bridge Delays

The River Street Bridge has been under construction since early summer and was originally expected to be completed before the school year begins. Since school starts on September 8, and the bridge will not be finished, the Hoosick Falls Central School District has built in a four minute delay on that bus route to compensate. Hoosick Falls School Board Approves Preliminary Report On A Capital Project

Architects and Engineers from Clark, Patterson and Lee, the organization that is guiding the Hoosick Falls Central School District in developing its capital project, presented the Preliminary Scope of Work for that project to the Board at its August 20 workshop. Ballet Students Pass Examinations
