Survivors include her daughter, Heather Ann Peters of Hoosick Falls, her son, Jay Lyle Scott of Brooklyn, NY, her granddaughter, Jessica Case, and her two brothers, John Nealon of Vero Beach, FL, and James Nealon of Hoosick Falls.

Hubbard Hall’s Macbeth Falls Short

March 15, 2013 By eastwickpress

reviewed by Alex Brooks
The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall has opened a new production  of MacBeth, directed by Hubbard Hall Artistic Director John Hadden.
Hadden, as a founding member of Shakespeare & Co., who worked as part of that company for twenty years, clearly knows his way around Shakespeare. In this production, he presents an interesting and incisive take on the play, focused on the relationship between the Macbeths and how that drives the bloody action of  the play. Some of the scenes are moved to their bedroom, and indeed the weird sisters show up in their bedroom.

March 8, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
On Friday afternoon, March 1, the temperature hovered in the low 30 degree range. It was easy for the people lined up in front of the Trustco Bank to note the time and the changing temperature with the Bank’s outdoor clock and thermometer so close. They patiently waited an hour or more to enter the Mahar Funeral Home to pay their respects to the family of John “Ersel” Hickey. In four hours a thousand people said goodbye to a loved and respected citizen.
