The Men’s Wednesday Night International Bowling League at Hoosick Falls Barbecue Recreation needs three more five-man teams. It is a handicap league. Practice begins at 6:30 pm with one shift.

Kevin Robichaud Graduates From MCLA

Kevin Alan Robichaud graduated on May 22, 2010, from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Having earlier graduated from Hudson Valley Community College, Kevin continued his education at MCLA to complete his B.A. in Mathematics. He remained on the Dean’s List each semester
Kevin will be pursuing his Master’s degree through the College of St. Rose in Albany. Meanwhile he has accepted a position as a Calculus teacher at Hoosac School in the Town of Hoosick.
Kevin is the son of Alan and Loraine Robichaud of Hoosick Falls.

Taylor Robichaud On Dean’s List

Taylor Robichaud has just completed his first year in a six year Doctorate of Pharmacy program at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. With a GPA of 3.4, he has been named to the College’s Dean’s List. Taylor is a 2009 graduate of Hoosick Falls Central School. Taylor is the son of Alan and Loraine Robichaud of Hoosick Falls.

Reynolds Foundation Disburses $12k For Community Work

On Saturday, July 18, members of the local Reynolds Foundation committee presented $12,000 in checks to the following organizations for their community work: the Town of Hoosick Community Band, Town of Hoosick Historical Society, Hoosick Area Church Association Food Pantry, Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Service Program, Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Troop #1144, Cheney Library Children’s Reading Program, Hoosick Veterans Memorial, Hoosick Falls Boy Scout Troop #63 and to the local Reynolds group as a reserve.

Canines And Cars For Lacrosse

The HFCS girls Lacrosse Club team held a fund raiser on Saturday, July 17. The event included 30 vintage cars from Vermont, New York and Massachusetts and 25 folks with their dogs, including special demonstrations by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit. H. Bradford Cole Remembered

Last Wednesday evening, July 14, the Hoosick Skating Rink reverberated with the sounds of the 50 member Town of Hoosick band, plus nine guests. The special concert honored H.
