St. Mary’s Academy First-Graders Decorate Tree For Museum
Annual Band Concert December 16
The Hoosick Falls Community Band will hold its 27th Annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 16, at 7:30 pm at the First United Church, Presbyterian on Main St. in Hoosick Falls.
Band leader Bill Gaillard said this year’s program will include a lot of sing-a-longs, the “Hallelujah Chorus,” “March of the Toys,” an Irving Berlin Christmas medley, “Brazilian Sleigh Bells,” “O Holy Night,” “Here Comes Santa Claus” and many more beloved holiday songs.

More than a year ago Joe Ferrannini decided on a career change. “I was still young enough to have a new career,” he said, “and I find this work much more gratifying.” Ferrannini cleans and restores old cemetery markers. His business is called Gravestone Matters. Though he’s new to the job as a professional, he has restored gravestones in abandoned cemeteries as an amateur for several years.
