Drug Bust In Hoosick

According to Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Whalen arrests were made on Wednesday, June 3, as a result of a joint two-state investigation into the burglaries at Thorpe’s Pharmacy on the corner of Church and John Streets in Hoosick Falls and O’Hearns Pharmacy on Main Street in Cambridge. On April 24 approximately $15,000 in pharmaceutical drugs was stolen from Thorpe’s, and on May 28 approximately $50,000 in pharmaceutical drugs was stolen from O’Hearns.

Funtastic Fair

St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls will hold its annual Funtastic Fair June 12 and 13 from 5 to 10 pm each night on the school grounds. Back this year by popular demand are carnival rides for young and old provided by Amyland Amusements. All your favorite games, activities and foods are back with some new additions as well. New this year will be a Decadent Dessert raffle to be held on Friday night. Come and join us at St. Mary’s for this hometown tradition. There is no admission fee.
