Town And Village Hold Joint Informational Meeting About Water And Sewer Extension

On Tuesday, June 7, the Village of Hoosick Falls and the Town of Hoosick held a joint informational meeting concerning the potential water and sewer expansion south along Route 22 to the school and in the Wilson Hill and Bovie Hill areas, and the expenditure of $46,000 for a comprehensive feasibility engineering study that is necessary in order to apply to New York State for grants and low- or no-interest loans to complete the project. If the two Boards decide to go ahead with the project, they will split the cost. The $46,000 would be refunded if the project gets approved. Brown’s Brewing Partners With Battlefield For Historical Event
Brown’s Brewing Company’s Walloomsac Taproom and the Bennington Battlefield will partner on Saturday, June 18 during New York State’s Path Through History Weekend.
The Bennington Battlefield will host two “History on the Hill” sessions on Saturday, June 18 at 10 am and 3 pm as part of New York State’s Path Through History weekend. Musicians, speakers, and reenactors will share the history of the battle and tales of the Revolutionary War soldier’s experience. The Hoosick Rising meeting on Wednesday June 8 was the third meeting of the spring and the last until September. It was held at Brown’s Walloomsac Brewery. Mayor Borge remarked on recent good business news.
