At its May 10 meeting, The Rensselaer County legislature unanimously approved the sale of the former WCW building at 1 Mechanic Street to the 1150 Scottsville Rd LLC for $140,000. Ninety Years Young And Still Going Strong
The room was overcrowded, as it often is lately, at the Town of Hoosick Board meeting on Monday, May 9. This month, many extra people came out to the meeting to help the Town celebrate the 90th birthday of one of Hoosick’s most respected and community-minded people, Town Historian Phil Leonard.

Revaluation In Hoosick Is Back On For This Year

At the Monday, May 9 Town of Hoosick Board meeting, the Board discussed the pros and cons of starting the Town revaluation project this year and ultimately decided that the project should not be delayed a year, and should proceed as originally planned, starting this year. Great Strides Walk At GLSP Will Raise Funds For Cystic Fibrosis Research And Treatment

The Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk at Grafton Lakes State Park is scheduled for May 22. Check-in will be at 11 and the walk at noon.
The Kempf family walks for their son Mathew on a team called “Hoops for Mat.” All are welcome to join in the walk and anyone requesting more information or wishing to donate can call 518-573-9790.
