Hoosick Considering Temporary Moratorium On Solar Farms

There are currently five Solar Farms either underway or going through the approval process in the Town of Hoosick. At a joint meeting of the Town, Planning and Zoning Boards on Tuesday evening, July 28, the consensus was that a temporary moratorium on any more farms should be put in place until a study of the overall impact on the Town and its residents can be determined. Shuttle Service Available For H.F. Vietnam Vets Event August 8
Town of Hoosick Vietnam Veterans’ Event is scheduled for this Saturday, August 8 at Wood Park at 10 am. The event is being sponsored by Voice of a Vet, Heroes at Home and American Legion Post 40. Due to the tremendous response we’ve gotten from Vietnam (Era) Veterans, their families and community members who will be attending the event, we have added a shuttle service to Wood Park from four locations in town.

On Saturday evening, July 25, Wood Park had a large gathering of folks in lawn chairs and on blankets and toddlers wandering very close to “the stage area.” They were all soon transported to Bryant Park during NY Fashion Week in the 1980s.
