The Hoosick Falls Central School PTA annually seeks nominations to honor community members who make outstanding contributions to the well being of children and youth. This year’s award recipient was Dale Ninivaggi, a fourth grade teacher who has taught at Hoosick Falls Central School for 23 years.

Town Of Hoosick Baseball Camp
The “Good Old Country Hardball” Baseball Camp will once again be held at the Hoosick Little League fields for those entering grades three through eight. The camp dates are July 5 through July 8, and each day and runs from 9 am to 3 pm.
Camp brochures can be picked up at the Hoosick Little League field snack bar or by calling Camp Director Mike Lilac at 686-7321 or 686-4320.
Town Of Hoosick Basketball Camp
The Hoosier Basketball Camp for boys and girls entering grades three through eight will again be sponsored by the Town of Hoosick. Camp dates are June 27 through June 30, and each day runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Class Of 1961 Gathers For Its 50th Reunion
The last class to graduate from the Walter A. Wood High School, in June 1961, gathered at the Hoosick Falls Country Club for its 50th Class Reunion on Friday evening, June 10. Reunion organizers, Patti Peereboom Neubauer, Brattleboro, VT, Ginny Cole Taylor, Alexandria, VA, and Jean Stacy Gore, Abilene, TX, reported the party was a great success.

Funeral Service For Wilbert J. Allard
Hoosick Falls – A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 1, at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, for Wilbert J. Allard, who passed away on May 29 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, on Thursday, June 30, from 5 to 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.

TV Icon Ed Dague At Hoosick Area Senior Center

For more than an hour on Thursday, June 9, former television news anchorman Ed Dague shared his experience as a television icon with the crowd at the Hoosick Senior Center. Town Of Hoosick Lions Club Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On Saturday evening, June 4, the Town of Hoosick Lions Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a dinner dance at the Hoosick Falls Country Club. Members from the Albany/Troy, Watervliet, Amsterdam and Scotia/Glenville, NY Clubs, plus the Bennington, Norshaft (Norwich/Shaftsbury), Vermont Clubs, joined the celebration.
