Drug Bust In Hoosick

According to Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Whalen arrests were made on Wednesday, June 3, as a result of a joint two-state investigation into the burglaries at Thorpe’s Pharmacy on the corner of Church and John Streets in Hoosick Falls and O’Hearns Pharmacy on Main Street in Cambridge. On April 24 approximately $15,000 in pharmaceutical drugs was stolen from Thorpe’s, and on May 28 approximately $50,000 in pharmaceutical drugs was stolen from O’Hearns.

West Hoosick F.D. Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast

The West Hoosick Fire Department announces an All You Can Eat Breakfast at the firehouse on Sunday, June 21, from 7:30 to 11 am.  Dads, it is your time to be honored so bring the family and enjoy a good breakfast. The menu includes pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, toast, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The firehouse is located on Pine Valley Rd. near the intersection of County Routes 109 and 103. Hoosick Dog Officer Beck Faces More Charges

Hoosick Dog Control Officer Matthew Beck, 46, of 145 Beck Road, Eagle Bridge, was put on indefinite leave of absence without pay last week when further charges were placed against him by NYS Police and NYS Environmental Conservation Police.

North Hoosick Fire Dept. Kids Dance

The North Hoosick Fire Department will hold its first dance in June this Saturday night, June 6. All students in grades 4 through 8 and who attend Hoosick Falls, St. Mary’s Academy or Cambridge schools are invited to attend. The dance will be held from 7 to 10:30 pm in the North Hoosick Fire House.
