Stardusters Open Bandstand Music Season In Wood Park
Hoosick Falls own “Big Band”, known as The Stardusters will present their annual concert in the Wood Memorial Park Bandstand on Wednesday, June 29, at 7:30 pm. This eighteen-member band performs big band style music from all periods. The Stardusters offer the music to anyone doing wedding receptions, anniversaries and other functions. HAYC3 Offers Texas Hold’em
A Texas Hold’em game will be held on Friday, July 15 at the HAYC3 Armory. Newcomers and experienced players are all welcome. Doors open at 6 pm, with play beginning at 6:30.
The buy-in is $40 with an option for one $20 rebuy and $10 for High Hand. The HAYC3 Armory is located at 80 Church Street on the corner of Elm Street in historic downtown Hoosick Falls, N.Y.

HAYC3 Continues It’s “Under The Stars” Outdoor Movie Series
Join HAYC3 on Sunday, July 3 for a free showing of The Princess Bride, at Wood Memorial Park, beginning at dusk.
The movie is “A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).”

Hoosick Town Board Backs Water And Sewer Expansion Study

The Town Board unanimously passed Resolution #57 of 2016 at its regular Town Board meeting on June 13. The resolution will allow the Town to work with the Village of Hoosick Falls on the feasibility of extending water and sewer into areas of the Town and to share the cost of the Proposal for Engineering Services as presented by MRB Group that would be used to seek funding through NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC). The combined cost of the studies (one for water, one for sewer) is $46,000, of which the Town will pay half. Supervisor Mark Surdam signed the agreements with MRB at the meeting.
