To Hold Peace Weekend

The Shaker Museum|Mount Lebanon will host a weekend of events and programs to commemorate over 200 years of Shaker pacifism, Saturday, August 29 through Monday, August 31. The Mount Lebanon Peace Weekend will consist of readings, a brunch and facilitated discussion about Shaker pacifist history, a panel of speakers currently active in the peace movement, and a special walking tour. Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

On Saturday, August 15, the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Inc. will hold its 27th Annual Pig Roast on the firehouse grounds located a 9 Firehouse Lane,  just off Route 20 in the hamlet of Brainard.  Doors will open at 1 pm and the afternoon will be filled with fun events including door prizes and games as well as hot dogs, sausage/hamburgers and drinks, all while the ‘whole pig’ covered with foil, will be roasting on the spit in view of the attendees.  [Read more…] about Tsatsawassa Pig Roast
