Cheyenne Seel Brings Home The Gold

Cheyenne Seel recently returned from Owego, NY, where she participated in the STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) Events Program at the NYS FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Meeting.  Cheyenne entered and received a Gold rating and will go on to represent New York State at the National STAR Events in July in Chicago.  [Read more…] about Cheyenne Seel Brings Home The Gold

May Events At The Stephentown Library

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month and SML invites you to learn more about this disease. On Friday, May 7, at 7 pm the film “Under Our Skin” which follows the stories of patients and physicians fighting for their lives and livelihoods will be shown. The film brings into focus a haunting picture of the health care system and a medical establishment all too willing to put profits ahead of patients.

Early Berkshire Women

Joanna Jennings will give an illustrated talk on an early Berkshire woman photographer, Carrie Smith Lorraine, on Monday, May 3, to the Stephentown Historical Society.  Because of a current renovation project at the Heritage Center, the meeting will be held at the Stephentown Town Hall, 26 Grange Hall Road, Stephentown.  It begins at 7:30 pm and is free and open to the public.  The building is handicapped accessible.  For directions, telephone 518-733-5675.

New Lebanon April READ Poster

Kiwanis Chicken BBQ

Stephentown FD Mother’s Day Breakfast

The flowers are beginning to bloom, grass is turning green  and Mother’s Day is a week away. On Sunday, May 9, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department will host its third  Mother’s Day breakfast at the Fire Hall on Grange Hall Road from 8 to 11 am. Rather than having a buffet type breakfast, we will be serving to order. Our featured breakfast menu items will be eggs to order, pancakes, sausage, bacon and toast. We are holding the same prices as last year; adults $7, children 6-12 $5 and children under 6 free. Bring your mom and enjoy a morning out.
