Hunter Safety Course

A Hunter Safety Course will be held at the Pioneer Fish & Game Club, Route 7, in Hoosick on Friday, July 17, from 5:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday, July 18, from 8 am to 4 pm. Both classes must be attended. Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling Gary Sargood at 686-4072 or Don McCabe at 686-4767.

The Art Of Gardening

Someone recently dumped hundreds of political campaign signs along the Route 22 roadside in Center Berlin. The signs come from the election of last November and both Democrats and Republicans seem to be equally represented.

Local Students Compete In W.J. Cowee Program for International Commerce

Two teams of students from Berlin Central High School competed for a scholarship prize when they presented their solutions to a theoretical international business problem from a case study. The focus of this year’s challenge was Caterpillar, Inc., one of the leading US companies with a strong global brand. The presentations, which were open to the public, took place on Monday, June 15, at Berlin Central High School in Cherry Plain.
