Board Approves Bentley Sub-Division

The Petersburgh Planning Board held a public hearing on Monday September 25 on a proposed subdivision of lands belonging to the Patricia Bentley Revocable Trust. Interpretive Trail To Dickinson Fire Tower Is Opened

Work On Dunham Reservoir Road Is Nearly Complete

Ladies Suffer First Loss Of Season

HF 0 – Taconic Hills 2
Monday, Oct. 2, at THHS. HF- League 9-0, Overall 10-1. The Panther Ladies suffered their first loss of the season Monday when Taconic Hills shut them out. Taconic Hills scored one goal in each half to get the win. The Panthers goalie Zoey Gress and TH’s Vanessa Schuff each had one save in the game.

HF 2 – Greenwich 0

Friday, Sept. 29 at GHS. HF – League 9-0, Overall 10-0. With normally tough Greenwich (0-10, 1-10) having a tough year the Ladies took advantage. Lillian Hickey scored an unassisted goal in each half for all the Panther scoring. HF goalie Zoe Gress had two saves, while Greenwich’s Kylee Masse was kept hopping with 14 saves.

HF 1 – Salem 0

Wednesday, Sept. 27

 at HFCS. HF – League 8-0, Overall 9-0; Salem L 3-5, O 3-7. Normally looked at as a “W” when the schedule comes out, the Salem General gave the Panthers all they could handle on this day. The Ladies had their chances, but just couldn’t get the ball in the goal. Scoreless after regulation, the Panthers scored in the first minute of the overtime when Ayla Fauler took an assist from Celilia Vincent and sent it home to get the win.

HF 2 – Emma Willard 0

Tuesday, Sept. 26 at EW. HF – League 7-0, Overall 8-0. Mackenzie Sprague scored with an assist from Emily Schnoop in the first half to give the Panthers a lead they never lost. Schoop was the scorer in the second half when an assist from Lillian Hickey provided the opportunity. HF’s Zoey Gress and EW’s Zian Taylor each had three saves.

HF 3 – Granville 1

Wednesday, Sept. 20 at GCS. HF – League 7-0. After the Golden Horde (3-3) held the Panthers scoreless in the first half, the Horde defense began to leak. The second half saw the Panthers get through for three goals. Lillian Hickey, with an assist from Madison Spague, got HF on the board first less than three minutes into the half. Forty seconds later Granville’s Payton Barlow tied the game. Four minutes later Hickey scored to give the Panthers the lead for good. Later in the half, Gracie Lohnes scored with an assist from Sprague. HF’s Zoey Gress had five saves and Graville’s Lexyss Zoristoski had seven.

It is important to remember that on Tuesday October 17th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can cast your vote to support your public school’s capital project.
The Hoosick Falls Central School has been blessed with public support throughout its history. This is an opportunity to restore the building, addressing all of its current needs at bare minimum expense to us, the taxpayers of Hoosick.
Support your community, the students and the staff. Show your pride in a district that is achieving high standards, and in our beautiful 57 year old facility.
