Board Searches For A New Alternate, Approves Changes

Planning Board Chairwoman Pamula Gerstel opened the August 27 meeting with news of the resignation of alternate board member Jennifer Wager.  Besides serving as an alternate, Ms. Wager also frequently took the minutes of their meetings.  As a whole the board agreed her services will be missed.  Gerstel said the Board is now seeking another alternate member and asked that anyone interested please contact the Town Clerk Anne Maxon at the Town Hall. Petersburgh Planning Board With Town Board Members Agrees On Draft Of Manufactured Homes Law

The Petersburgh Planning Board met with the Supervisor and two members of the Town Board, Alan Webster and Denise Church, to discuss the latest draft of  the Planning Board’s proposed new local law regulating manufactured homes and recreational vehicles. The law does not go into great detail – it relies on State regulations to explicate the details. Instead the law, just four pages long, establishes some basic ground rules about installation and occupancy of the various types of manufactured homes. Two Exciting Events Coming To Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center

Evening Paddle 

Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center is offering an Evening Paddle on September 9 from 5 to 6:30 pm. Bring a picnic dinner you can eat by the lake, if desired.  This program is limited to 12 boats so pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting the Center at dykenpond@fairpoint.net or by calling 518-658-2055.
