What’s Happening At Stephentown Memorial Library
Story Time – Fridays at 10 am. Calling all preschoolers (and their caregivers)! Join us each Friday for some story time fun! In this half-hour session, we read aloud, sing songs, move about, and explore the world around us through literature. Parents and children are encouraged to stay after story time so children have time for free play while grown-ups browse for books and socialize. Story Time is led by Jane Halleck, a local educator. Auditions, Rehearsals Will Be Held At Historic Hubbard Hall
The Battenkill Chorale is accepting experienced choral singers for their twenty-first season, which opens with a program connected to the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’ impassioned plea for peace, Dona Nobis Pacem, January 17 at Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall at Zankel Music Center, Skidmore College. Soloists Sylvia Stoner (Artist-in-Residence at Skidmore) and Keith Kibler will join the 100-voice chorus and 45-piece professional orchestra in this poignant work. Town Of Petersburgh Finding ADA Compliance Difficult

Supervisor Krahforst said the Town has received a letter from a local citizen about compliance with ADA requirements in the Town buildings, which “makes demands and sets deadlines.” Krahforst said the Town is working diligently to satisfy the demands of its mediation partners, but it is running up against some expensive items for which it does not, at present, have adequate funds.
