Much-Needed Fast Wireless Broadband Service Coming To Hoosick

The Hoosick Town Zoning Board has approved the plan for Bouncelinx, a wireless broadband internet service provider, to build a 120’ tower near Bovie Hill Road. The vote was unanimous. UFOs Over Berlin Turn Out To Be Love Notes

On Saturday evening, August 1, at about 9 pm, two Berlin residents sitting outside saw lights moving across the sky from west to east. First they saw one, then two, then five, and eventually they counted about twenty or thirty of them. Local Teens Travel To Rhode Island For Youth To Youth Conference

TRACs is honored to support and facilitate the Youth 2 Youth Berlin program. Through hard work, dedication, perseverance, and community support, these 15 teens and 3 adults were able to secure over $7,000 in funding for the Youth to Youth Eastern States Conference this past week. Not only were youth able to obtain sponsors through local business, community members and church organizations, but also contracted with all four towns within the Berlin School District to cover the cost of registration for two town residents in exchange for community service. Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

On Saturday, August 15, the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Inc. will hold its 27th Annual Pig Roast on the firehouse grounds located a 9 Firehouse Lane,  just off Route 20 in the hamlet of Brainard.  Doors will open at 1 pm and the afternoon will be filled with fun events including door prizes and games as well as hot dogs, sausage/hamburgers and drinks, all while the ‘whole pig’ covered with foil, will be roasting on the spit in view of the attendees. Hoosick Considering Temporary Moratorium On Solar Farms

There are currently five Solar Farms either underway or going through the approval process in the Town of Hoosick. At a joint meeting of the Town, Planning and Zoning Boards on Tuesday evening, July 28, the consensus was that a temporary moratorium on any more farms should be put in place until a study of the overall impact on the Town and its residents can be determined.
