Upcoming Shaker Stone Barn Tours Offer First Chance For Public To Enter In Forty-Three Years

The Shaker Museum Mount Lebanon is hosting guided walking tours inside the massive remains of the North Family Shakers’ Great Stone Barn on Friday, July 31 and Friday, August 7 at 2 pm each day. The tours, which detail the history and current state of the Barn, will leave from the Wash House Visitor Center and Museum Store. This is the first opportunity for the general public to enter inside the structure since a fire destroyed the roof and much of the timber frame 43 years ago. Approximately 140 alumni and guests attended the 34th Annual Walter A Wood Alumni Reunion on Saturday, July 13 at the Pittstown Volunteer Emergency Corp. Cantering Cowpokes Float Wins!

Cantering Cowpokes 4-H Club won 1st place for the Prettiest Float in the 4th of July parade with our “Something’s Fishy” float and accompanying fish, mermaids, turtle, and sea horses.
