Petersburgh Republicans Seeking Candidates For November Election

May 28, 2015 By eastwickpress

As happens every two years, local elections will take place in November throughout New York State. In Petersburgh the Town Republicans are looking for candidates to fill various positions in Town government. These include Town Supervisor, two Town Councilpersons, Justice of the Peace, Highway Superintendent and Tax Collector. Anyone interested in standing for election to any of these position as a Republican candidate is strongly encouraged to attend the Republican Caucus on June 11 at 7 pm at the Veterans’ Memorial Hall. You need not be a registered Republican to run for office but it will require registered Republicans to place and second your nomination.

It is important not only for our Town but also for the very future of our nation and the democratic process that our citizens take an active role in local government. We thus strongly encourage a new generation of young voters to become active in this June’s Republican Caucus and in the November election.
