Locks Of Love In Grafton

Adrianna Maxfield, eight years old, daughter of Scott and Nadine Maxfield, donated 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love for the second time on Wednesday, October 26.  Adrianna, a student at the Berlin Elementary School, wanted to donate her hair to help other kids and to honor those in her family who have passed away.

Stephentown Library News – SML Closed For Veterans Day

The Stephentown Memorial Library will be closed on Friday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Please use our book drop, located near the handicapped ramp on the front of the building, when we are closed. We will be open Saturday, November 12, as usual to meet your needs.

PVMCC Event – Holiday Craft Fair

It is that time of year again, and we can’t wait to see what everyone will have for sale at the Holiday Craft Fair which runs from 9 am to 1 pm on December 3. This is a great chance to get a wonderful Christmas gift for a loved one.
Our local Boy Scout Troop has a wonderful raffle going on right now. They are raffling off a 50” Flat Screen TV or $700 cash and each raffle ticket is only $10.Please contact William Curley at 518-658-0035 for more information on how to get your ticket as there is a limited amount of tickets left.
Crafters and vendors should call Joan at 518-478-3611 to reserve a table. Table space will cost $15.

Nostalgia Night At The Grafton Historical Society

The Grafton Historical Society’s November meeting will be held at the Grafton Town Hall on November 16 at 7 pm. Our program will be Nostalgia Night:  Recalling Grafton Experiences.  We invite you to share your Grafton story….or if you don’t have one, come and be a fly on the wall and listen to the stories from other community members.
The program is free, and the public is invited. Refreshments will be served.

Berlin Library Pie Sale

The pie sale is coming!  The pie sale is coming! The Berlin Free Town Library announces its second annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale. Pies will be available for purchase at the Berlin branch of the Bank of America on Wednesday, November 23, from 10 am to 2 pm. What a delicious way to support the Library! To support the Library in a less caloric way, please drop by and donate. Trustees and Friends of the Library are reminded to drop off donated pies at the Bank starting at 9:30 on Wednesday, November 23.

Hoosick Area Community Artists Guild

All are welcome to join the newly formed Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) Artists’ Guild. The guild is a grassroots effort to gather amateur and professional artists, art enthusiasts and art patrons in the Hoosick area. The goal is to share artistic knowledge, discuss each artist’s work, develop a means to show work, discuss new materials and trends, develop communal art projects and provide insight for continued individual growth and development. Grafton FVD Breakfast

The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department along with the Grafton Ladies Auxiliary will be holding an all you can eat buffet breakfast on Saturday, November 26, from 8 to 11 am at the Grafton VFW – Fire Hall on South Road (County Route 85). Belgian waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs (made to order), sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, orange juice, coffee and milk are on the menu.
The cost is $8 per adult, $4 for kids 12 and under and free for  kids 5 and under. We look forward to serving you!

Tsatsawassa Fire Co. Breakfast

The Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company will hold its monthly breakfast on Sunday, November 20, from 8 am to noon at their firehouse located on Firehouse Lane behind the post office near the intersection of Routes 20 and 66N in Brainard.
Breakfast is scheduled to be served the third Sunday of each month through May and will consist of a choice of pancakes or French toast,  bacon or sausage, eggs prepared to order,  toast, applesauce, orange juice and beverage.
Join your neighbors and friends and support your local fire department.
