The Lillis Bunce Memorial Award Goes To Jamie Weir
The Grafton Community Library has announced the winner of the first annual Lillis Bunce Memorial Award. Jamie Weir will receive the award given annually to a Grafton resident who is a junior in high school and has practiced community service in one of the following areas – library/literacy, gardening/environmental or civic organizations.

The Stephentown Historical Society Lets Loose The Dogs Of War
Robert W. Arnold III will present a talk, “Let Loose the Dogs of War: New York in the American Civil War,” on June 6, to the Stephentown Historical Society. The meeting will be at 7:30 pm at the Stephentown Heritage Center on Garfield Road, Stephentown. This Speakers in the Humanities event, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities, a State affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Blacksmith Workshop At The Grafton Library
The Grafton Community Library is hosting an exciting introductory blacksmithing class for students with no prior experience. Our instructor is Ron Bakerian, assisted by Tim Holt. Bakerian began working in the forge as a practical approach to tool making for large scale woodwork which then developed into decorative and functional hand forged ironwork. New Lebanon Book Group To Discuss The Calligrapher’s Daughter

National Get Outdoors Day At The Broken Wheel Campground
Broken Wheel Campground at 61 Broken Wheel Road in Petersburgh will be participating in National Get Outdoors Day and will be having an Open House on Saturday, June 11, from 1 to 5 pm.
