Petersburgh Town Board Action – Highway Problems

The Petersburgh Town Board meeting was called to order by Deputy Supervisor Mario DiDomenicantonio because Supervisor Siegfried Krahforst was sick.

Highway Superintendent Rob Cottrell said he lost his temporary seasonal person Bryan Amidon, and asked for the Board’s guidance on what basis he can hire a new seasonal worker.

Petersburgh Sunshine Seniors Recipes

The Petersburgh Sunshine Seniors has printed more of their history cookbook “Remembrances and Recipes of the Petersburgh Sunshine Seniors” just in time for late Christmas shopping. It is a collection of stories and recipes like none other. The book tells the stories of 34 area seniors and has 130 of their favorite recipes. It is a piece of history for your kitchen. The cost is $10 and they are available for purchase at Papa’s Pizza and the Petersburgh Library.

Erika Pelletier Of Petersburgh Completes Student Leadership Training At National Conference

Erika Pelletier of Petersburgh attended the National Conference on Student Leadership in Lake Buena Vista, FL, recently.

Pelletier, who is studying in the Early Childhood academic program at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy was chosen as one of eight student representatives from the College. While at the four-day conference, Pelletier completed the student leadership training and was involved in many other development, leadership and networking activities. The conference also offers specific workshops that help student leaders leverage their roles as they transition from campus to a professional career.

After Years Petersburgh Passes Sub-Division Regs And Road Specs

The Petersburgh Town Board finally passed revised Subdivision Regulations and Road Specifications for the Town at its meeting on December 1, after a public hearing. The effort to rewrite these regulations and get them approved has been going on for several years so this action represents a significant milestone for the Town.

Petersburgh Special Meeting Records And Job Descriptions

At a Special Meeting held December 1, the Petersburgh Town Board took up a number of issues. First, they passed a resolution to adopt New York State’s archives records retention and disposition schedule, called Schedule MU-1, which details which records need to be kept and for how long. Town Clerk Deidra Michaels said she has been working with a woman from the New York State Archives to modernize the Town’s record keeping practices. Petersburgh Veterans Appreciated

The Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center hosted its annual Veterans Potluck Dinner on Tuesday, November 11. The hall was bursting with approximately 150 community members, young and old, all focused on one common goal – the distinctive opportunity of coming together to celebrate those Petersburgh veterans who have given us the gift of freedom and way of life.
