Petersburgh Hires Civil Engineer To Help Write Road Specs

At its monthly meeting on April 25 the Petersburgh Planning Board met with a Civil Engineer named Clark Wilkinson whom it would like to consult about road specifications for the Town.
The Planning Board is rewriting its regulations this year and would like to set standards for construction of new roads and driveways. It would like Wilkinson to help write the specifications and also to update the list and map of Town roads so that the Planning Board is clear about which roads are Town roads. Petersburgh – Barbara M. Wager Jones, 81, of 19647 NY Rt. 22, Petersburgh, NY, entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2011, after a short courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by her husband, two daughters and her sweet Becca.
She was born on July 10, 1929, at home in Berlin, NY, to the late Sidney E. and Eva (Alderman) Wager.

Howard Walters Celebrates His 95th Birthday

Howard Walters, celebrating his birthday last Saturday night with a crowd of family and friends at the Bennington Station House Restaurant, looked pretty spry for a man of 95 years.
“I don’t drink, and I don’t smoke,” said Walters about the secret to his longevity.

Community Farmers Market Meeting
The first vendor meeting of Our Valley Community Farmers Market (OVCFM) will be held on April 29 at 6:30 pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church on North Main Street, Berlin. Open to all interested vendors, the meeting will include an overview of OVCFM’s handbook and marketing efforts as well as location and layout, the finalization of market hours, a look at “Opening Day” activities and any questions from vendors.
