Vegan Buffet In Petersburgh
On Saturday, October 3, at 5:30 pm at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center there will be a vegan meal catered by the “Dancing Vegan.” There will also be Dinner Music provided by Barry Hyman, “The Radical Pacifist, Vegetarian, Guitarist.” An After-Dinner Program will follow. The all-inclusive price is $20 per person.

Hunter Training Course
The Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club is offering a hunter safety course on October 23 from 6:30 to 10:30 pm and October 24 from 8:30 am until finishing time. You must attend both sessions. The Club is located on Scriven Road off of Route 2. To register call 283-4248 (before 9 pm). Or you can sign up at one of our turkey shoots to be held on September 27 and October 4.
Teen Basketball Tournament
All teenagers (ages 13-19) are invited to the Petersburgh Baptist Church for a basketball tournament on Saturday, September 26, at 3 pm. There will be a $50 prize for the winning team, a hot dog roast for all participants and a short program. Please register your team (five players) by September 22 by sending an email with players’ names, ages and phone numbers to Basketball_Tourney@yahoo.com. Questions can also be sent to this email address. Alternatively, call 518-577-2035. Participation is free.
It’s Turkey Time Again
The Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club will be holding its Fall Turkey shoots on September 27 and October 4 at 12 noon. The Club is located on Scriven Road, Petersburgh. Spend an exciting afternoon with your family. We will serve chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade pies, sausage and peppers, just to name a few. Also, we will have several raffles and our 50/50 end-of-the summer raffle. The competition to win a turkey is very exciting to both the young and the old. Congressman Scott Murphy held a Town Hall meeting on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, in Petersburgh. It was supposed to start at 11:30 am, but the Congressman had a larger than expected turnout at his first event of the day in Clifton Park, so he arrived at 11:55 and stayed until about 1:30. Petersburgh Has New Ambulance

The Petersburgh Ambulance Squad picked up its new ambulance from Cromwell Emergency Vehicles in Clifton Park on Friday, September 4, and drove it to Petersburgh. The lettering was put on it on Friday afternoon, and Adam Griswold was putting decals on it when we stopped by to take a picture.
