A large group of people assembled in the meeting room of the Petersburgh Town Hall for the Petersburgh Town Board meeting, and Supervisor Peter Schaaphok said the Fire Code only allows occupancy of the room by 33 people. Petersburgh Revises Its
Building Code Law

After a Public Hearing in which no one offered any comments, The Petersburgh Town Board approved a set of amendments to the Building Code law that it first passed in 2014.  The law basically adopts New York State Building Code, Fire Code, and Energy Code for use in the Town of Petersburgh, and defines enforcement mechanisms.

PFOA Level In Petersburgh Water District Cut In Half

Petersburgh has announced that Water Superintendent Ben Krahforst has been able to lower the level of PFOA in the water of the Petersburgh Water District by using the wells which have the lowest PFOA contamination. Results released this week show a PFOA level of 47.4 parts per trillion (ppt) at the Town Hall and 44.1 ppt at the Town Library.
