Girl Scout Service Unit 154 has been collecting food donations throughout December and January on behalf of the communities’ local food pantries as well as the Berlin Elementary School’s weekend and holiday pantry. Troops contacted community organizations and asked for donations at meetings and placed boxes in public places across the four towns. Activities Raised $1000 For Camp Good Days And Special Times
After tallying all the figures, Campground Owners of New York (CONY) announced today that Broken Wheel Campground in Petersburgh, New York, operated by Ruth Seel and family, raised $1,000 in donations for Camp Good Days and Special Times, as part of CONY’s fourth annual statewide fundraising event for charity held throughout 2015. Dave Miller Appointed As Building Inspector

The Petersburgh Town Board held an executive session for an hour before its regular meeting on January 18, in which they interviewed two applicants for the position of Building Inspector. The Board appointed David Miller to the position when they began the regular Town Board meeting. The vote was not unanimous, though – it was 4-1 with Schaaphok, Smith, Church, and Webster voting in favor and Barnhill voting against. [Read more…] about Petersburgh Town Board Action
