Stephentown Fixture Not Closing Yet

Rumors have been circulating for some time now that Dave’s Supermarket in Stephentown may be closing. Recent promotions at the store with most items marked down 10% – or more recently 20% – have not done anything to reduce the speculation. Stephentown Seniors See Elvis

The Stephentown Senior Citizens enjoyed their first excursion of the year on Tuesday, April 26, with a trip to the Glen Falls House resort located in the town of Round Top in the northern Catskills. Following a short trek to view the Glen Falls and the spectacular Bridal Veil Falls, and after a wonderful home style meal of chicken or pork, the highlight of the day was a visit from Elvis. May Events At The Stephentown Memorial Library
• Friends of SML meeting – The Friends of the Stephentown Memorial Library group will gather for a meeting on Monday, May 9 at 7 pm in the old part of the library. If you are interested in helping your Library, come and join the discussion. Many people with many skills and talents are needed, so whether you are interested in volunteering to assist the Staff, helping to plan fund-raising events, staffing the Book Sale in July, making signs, baking or helping in ways yet to be dreamed up, come join in!

Veterans Of Stephentown Texas Hold’em
The Veterans of Stephentown will hold a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, May 14, in the Stephentown Fire Hall, located on Grange Hall Road in Stephentown. The doors will open at 5 pm and close at 6 pm. Play begins at 6:15 sharp.

Capital District Friday Field Group Outings
The Capital District Friday Field Group is a mix of amateur and professional naturalists formed in 1994 that meets weekly on Fridays at 5:30 pm between April and September to explore natural features of sites in the Capital Region.
